Part 1
Starting background of the project/
initiative
- The phenomenon of dropping out of school due to poverty is a concerning social issue that significantly impacts individual and societal development. The following are key aspects of this situation:
- Limited access to education: Poor families often struggle to provide basic conditions for their children, including purchasing textbooks, school supplies, and even basic food. This makes access to education challenging.
- Reduced learning opportunities: Many economically disadvantaged children lack the opportunity to participate in extracurricular educational activities, such as art courses, physical education, or language courses. This can deprive them of comprehensive development opportunities.
- Financial constraints on education: Tuition fees, educational materials, and associated costs sometimes prove prohibitively high for impoverished families, creating barriers to the educational prospects of children from these backgrounds.
- Psychological burden: Confronting the necessity of dropping out can create mental pressure and a sense of failure for the affected individuals. This can negatively impact their mental well-being and prospects.
- Prolonged cycle of poverty: If children are forced to abandon their education, they may face challenges in advancing in life and breaking free from the cycle of poverty, creating a prolonged cycle of deprivation within families.
- Societal and economic impacts: Educational deficiencies in certain communities can lead to fewer job opportunities, resulting in unemployment and poverty. This, in turn, contributes to social and economic burdens.
- To address this issue, support is required from the government, non-profit organizations, and society to establish scholarship programs, reduce tuition fees, and provide educational assistance to impoverished families. This helps increase access to education and ensures that all children can develop comprehensively, fostering societal development.
- For this reason, I officially initiated the Patronize Fund - "Support Dreams to School" Fund Project in July 2019. Since then, various preparatory tasks such as procedures, implementation plans, and recruiting accompanying personnel have faced numerous challenges. However, due to our high level of determination, we strive daily to perfect the project.
